1. Learn about local life

Outside of Labuan Bajo town, life is simple but breathtaking to witness. Take a motorcycle rental and see the villages. The locals may likely look astonished when you first arrive, but after you start waving, they will respond with warm grins. Trying to talk to the locals was one of our favorite things to do in Komodo.

A motorbike may be rented for around 60K IDR (4 USD) each day.

2. Labuan Bajo’s hidden perspectives

To get an amazing view, you don’t need to travel to one of the Komodo Islands. A 30-minute motorbike ride out of town via the nearby towns and along a dusty road leads to a stunning sight. This is the precise location.

3. Explore Rangko Cave from Labuan Bajo

A hidden treasure that is quite near to Labuan Bajo is Rangko Cave. You may float effortlessly in the crystal-clear blue, salt-filled water of the cave.

You take a 1.5-hour motorbike ride to the pier, from whence you board a boat to the cave. Definitely worth the trip!

4. Relax at the Le Pirate rooftop pool

Labuan Bajo has a few interesting locations to hang out, relax, and spend the day. One of these areas is the rooftop pool of Le Pirate. They provide wonderful beverages and nibbles while providing a lovely view of the port.

5. Experience Italy at La Casuna

There is a fantastic Italian restaurant in town that is operated by an authentic Italian. The balcony, with a fresh sea wind, provides a view of the port.

6. Komodo National Park Boat Tour

Spending one or more nights aboard a boat, waking up in the middle of a national park, eating wonderful local cuisine, and surrounded by fewer people is an unforgettable experience.

Many businesses provide these trips departing from Labuan Bajo in varying degrees of luxury.

7. Discover Labuan Bajo Town

It takes 30 minutes to walk around the little village of Labuan Bajo. Explore the smaller streets off of the main street and stroll along the boulevard beside the water.

Due to a lack of housing, Labuan Bajo is now experiencing a development boom. It is thus advised to reserve a hotel or guesthouse in advance.

8. Sample amazing sushi

If you enjoy fresh fish, you must dine at Happy Banana! Despite the unappealing moniker, this sushi restaurant serves exceptionally high-quality seafood.

9. Stairway to Heaven

The Staircase to Heaven, also known as Bukit Cinta, is a great site to see the sunset in Labuan Bajo town. It’s an easy 8-minute drive outside of town, and the stairway is simple to ascend.

10. Coffee & Breakfast

The greatest coffee and breakfast spot in Labuan Bajo is Bajo Bakery. There is a lot of room, and they even provide WiFi if you absolutely need it.

11. Eat fresh fish in the market

Enjoy fresh and reasonably priced fish served at one of the little food kiosks. The market is open every day, immediately after sundown.
